The opening ceremony

At the opening ceremony of Tsering Art School's 27th year, esteemed Khenrinpoche Gyurme Tsultrem, along with the Khenpo's and staff, gathered to celebrate the start of another new session. During the ceremony, Khenpola addressed the new students, emphasizing the school's commitment to a rich tradition and the exceptional purity of its main teacher, Konchok Lhadrepa.

Khenpola expressed that the teaching program at Tsering Art School follows a Buddhist traditional style, providing students with a unique opportunity. Not only do they learn painting techniques, but they also have the chance to become living representatives of a special and ancient tradition. By integrating Buddhism into their lives, the students' art becomes infused with genuine spiritual energy and blessings.

This approach highlights the school's emphasis on not only developing artistic skills but also nurturing a deeper understanding of the spiritual and cultural roots associated with the art form. By immersing themselves in this tradition, the students have the potential to create art that transcends the purely technical and becomes a profound expression of their spiritual journey.

As Tsering Art School embarks on its 27th year, this message from Khenpola serves as an inspiration to both the new and continuing students, encouraging them to embrace the teachings, traditions, and opportunities that lie ahead, and to make their artistic endeavors a meaningful and transformative experience.
